- Upon arrival and check-in for the performances, you will be given a “Student Retrieval Card.”

- Students can bring water bottles ONLY– no juice, no soda, no snacks. Please do all of that before they arrive.
- Everyone's hair (if long enough) MUST be in a ballet bun (tight and slicked back)!
- Label all of your child's belongings and contain everything in a small, labeled tote bag.

To help in your logistics planning:
- Mother Goose Suite begins promptly at 6:30pm on Saturday and 2:00pm on Sunday and is expected to end around 7:15pm on Saturday and 2:45pm on Sunday.
- At the end of the performance the auditorium will be completely cleared in order for doors to be opened and seating for Sleeping Beauty to begin.
- Please take all belongings with you when you exit as items left in the auditorium after each performance will be given to the college Lost and Found.
- The Variety show will begin at around 7:45pm on Saturday and 3:15pm on Sunday.
- Sleeping Beauty will begin promptly at 8:00pm on Saturday and 3:30pm on Sunday and is expected to end at around 9:30pm on Saturday and 5:00pm on Sunday.
Backstage Moms:
- To volunteer, see the sign-up binder in the Studio Office.
- A meeting for all Backstage Moms will be held on Saturday, June 1st at 11:30 at the studio. We greatly appreciate these special helpers who stay with the students in the dressing rooms before, during, and after the rehearsal and performances. They will assist the students in getting organized and ready to go on stage, as well as helping to "manage all the excitement" in the dressing rooms.
Make-up:
- If acceptable by parents, students are to wear make-up for dress rehearsal, portraits, and performances. The stage lights wash out their little faces, so the make-up is to be applied HEAVILY for the performances. Apply: eye shadow, blush, lipstick and mascara.
- Join us for a free “How To Apply Stage Make-up” class with Ms. Meg on Saturday, June 1st at 12:30 at the studio. This will be a demonstration class; no need to bring make-up products or the dancer to which you’ll be applying the make-up.
NO OTHER ACCESSORIES are permitted. Children are NOT to have ANY of the following worn during the dress rehearsal, portraits and performances:
- Earrings, Nose rings, Lip rings, Belly-button rings, or any other piercings*
|
*If you are considering having your child’s ears or anything else pierced, please note that ALL earrings, even starters, must be removed for this event. So if you’re going to pierce, please remember the six-week healing time and plan accordingly, or wait until after the recital.
